Tag for Dunfermline beggar who racially abused cabbie at rank

Hooper’s restriction of liberty order follows conviction for exposure and racially aggravated abuse.

Robert Hooper has been tagged under a six-month restriction of liberty order after Dunfermline Sheriff Court convicted him over an attack on an Asian taxi driver at Queen Anne Street.

Central Fife Times / Dunfermline Press coverage matches the July 14 incident: drunken beggar shouted a racist slur, made an obscene gesture, then exposed himself while other drivers and members of the public, including children, were nearby. Hooper admitted some verbal abuse but denied exposure and racism; the sheriff found him guilty of both intentional exposure and racially aggravated abuse.
