Nearly half of UK taxi passengers have left belongings in a cab, according to a survey promoted by broker The Taxi Insurer.
Reporting says 44% of respondents said they had forgotten possessions after a journey, including 14% who left a phone and 10% a passport. The release did not give sample size, dates or methodology. The firm also said 19% had sought personal advice from a driver and 11% had asked a driver to follow another vehicle or pedestrian. Treat the percentages as the broker’s promotional research, not an official government statistic.
