Southampton taxi driver Sukhy Sidhu, 59, says he is “shocked and frustrated” after his car was set alight outside his Stanton Road home while the family slept.
The Daily Echo reports his son woke him just after 10.15pm when the Ring doorbell alarm sounded; a bucket of water did nothing. He had recently fitted CCTV after a front window was smashed weeks earlier and now fears for the family’s safety. Ring footage shows a person by the car as flames take hold. His firm loaned a replacement so he can keep working. Hampshire Police were called at 10.15pm and are investigating suspected arson; Redbridge and Totton fire crews extinguished the vehicle.
