LEVC confirms all-new London black cab for H2 2027

TX successor will meet TfL Conditions of Fitness; current TX assembly winds down as Ansty prepares next model.

London EV Company has confirmed its next-generation purpose-built black cab will launch in the UK in the second half of 2027.

Auto Express and LEVC say the vehicle is engineered from the ground up for TfL’s Metropolitan Conditions of Fitness and will succeed the TX range-extender launched in 2018. Full tech specs stay under wraps; early sketches keep a familiar silhouette. CEO Tony Chi framed it as commitment to the sector; design boss Brett Boydell called the sketches “familiar, purposeful and unmistakably LEVC.” Final TX assembly is wrapping so Ansty can prepare for the new model — a gap trade groups have linked to age-limit pressure.
