A Dunfermline man has been put on a six-month restriction of liberty order after racially abusing a taxi driver and exposing himself at a busy rank.
Dunfermline Press / PHTM report Robert Hooper, 51, targeted a 49-year-old Asian cabbie on Queen Anne Street about 7pm on 14 July after a day begging. The driver, giving evidence via translator, said Hooper used a racist slur, gave the finger, then pulled down his tracksuit bottoms. Another cabbie heard further abuse. Sheriff William Gilchrist rejected Hooper’s claim he only gestured while drunk and convicted him of intentional exposure and racially aggravated abuse.
