A woman in her 80s has died after being found unresponsive in the back of a taxi in Skelmersdale.
Lancashire Police were called to Tanhouse Road about 11.55am on Wednesday 23 September 2026. Despite efforts by officers and medical staff she was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours. Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and offered condolences to her family.
