Two males, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of robbery after a taxi driver reported that he had been chased on foot in Burnley. The Burnley Express reported the arrests on 18 October 2026. The Lancashire Telegraph reported them the same day.
The call
The Telegraph said police were called to reports of a robbery on Glen View Road shortly before 10.30pm on Saturday 17 October. The Express said police were called at 10.23pm that Saturday. It said the report was that two males had chased the driver on foot, and that one of them was in possession of a knife.
The Telegraph said a police spokesperson had given that account of the chase. Both papers said the two males were in custody. Neither paper named the driver or the two males. Neither reported a charge or a hearing date.
