A business calling itself A Star Go says it has reopened the Church Street office in Stone under new management, and that it used to be Star Private Hire. A Little Bit of Stone reported that on 16 October. The announcement names no owner. It says the cars cover Stone, Barlaston, Wedgwood, Little Stoke, Walton, Aston, Tittensor, Oulton, Eccleshall and Stafford, with seats for four to eight, airport runs and business accounts. It says an app and a website are still being built.
There is no company called A Star Go on the Companies House register. The announcement does not say who holds the Stafford Borough operator licence.
The company that was there
Star Private Hire Staffs Ltd, company 11762548, traded as Star Private Hire. Its principal trading address was 6 Church Street, Stone, ST15 8BD. The members put it into creditors' voluntary liquidation on 20 July 2026. The London Gazette records that Mustafa Abdulali and Neil Dingley of Moore Recovery, in Stoke, were appointed joint liquidators that day. Director Mohammad Nafees signed the resolution.
The registered office had moved to 6 Church Street from Upper Belgrave Road in Stoke only on 17 June 2026. On 31 July it moved again, to the liquidators' office. The company was incorporated on 11 January 2019. Nafees, appointed a director on 1 June 2024, holds 75 of the 100 issued £1 shares. Ehsan Zameer, a director since incorporation, holds the other 25. Neither man is named in the A Star Go announcement, and the liquidators have not announced a sale of the business.
What the director estimated
Nafees signed a statement of affairs on 6 July 2026. He estimated the assets would realise nothing. On those figures the deficiency as regards creditors is £122,208.97, and £122,308.97 once the £100 share capital is included.
HM Revenue & Customs is listed at £95,652.50. Two trade creditors are listed at £17,500 together. One of them is Stoke-on-Trent City Council. Six employees are listed, as unsecured creditors, for £9,156.47 together. These are the director's estimates. The liquidators have not published a dividend.
Creditors have until 21 October 2026 to prove what they are owed. Proofs go to the joint liquidators. The deadline notice is here.
