Singapore driver ends PHV stint after 1,400 Tesla rides

Michelle Lee strips decals; says even 3–4 hour shifts exhaust — urges kindness to full-time drivers.

A Singapore woman has ended private-hire driving after more than 1,400 rides in her Tesla, removing the PHV decals and reflecting on what the work taught her.

AsiaOne reports Michelle Lee’s Facebook post describing constant multi-tasking — traffic, bikes, pedestrians, navigation, pick-ups and passengers — and back pain even on three-to-four-hour days, deepening respect for drivers working eight to 12 hours. She cited accidents and near-misses as a reason to stop, recalled passengers’ assumptions about a Tesla-driving cabbie, and asked riders to be kind: seatbelts on, no pressure to break rules, no taking a bad day out on the driver. She plans to focus on money coaching via Better Money EQ.
