A Garfield Heights man has pleaded guilty to murdering Cleveland Lyft driver Antoine Latham.
WOIO/Cleveland19 and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office say Derrek Dove pleaded guilty on 24 September 2026 to murder and aggravated robbery, with sentencing set for 26 October. Latham, 56, was shot in the head on 8 February 2026 near East 103rd Street and Rosehill Avenue while Dove and others allegedly tried to rob him of his phone; first responders initially thought it was a crash. Latham died in hospital. Prosecutor Michael O’Malley previously called it a “cold and deliberate act of murder” while Latham was earning a living.
