A Nottingham drug dealer caught with a knife in a Carlton taxi and again six days later has been jailed for six years and one month.
Gedling Eye reports Tekla Adofo, 36, booked a Radford–Gedling cab under a false name on 28 January; on Gedling Road in Carlton the driver realised he had a blade, photographed him and he fled. On 3 February a PCSO saw him brandishing a knife in a Forest Road West road-rage incident; police found heroin, crack and cannabis. He denied the taxi knife count but was convicted after trial, admitting a further public-place knife offence and four supply-related drugs charges at Nottingham Crown Court (11 September). Det Con Andre Foster called him a “persistent knife carrier.”
