Miami Uber riders stuck as driver pees in bottle in traffic

TikToker Sam Souder says her Miami cruise-terminal Uber asked her to look away while he urinated into a bottle.

A Miami Uber trip to a cruise terminal turned awkward when the driver allegedly asked passengers to look away so he could urinate into a bottle in slow traffic, according to TikToker Sam Souder (@soudersam), covered by The Mary Sue and Yahoo Lifestyle.

Souder said the ride started normally — luggage in the boot, small talk — until the driver told her and friends to “look that way.” She thought he needed help merging. He then said he had an emergency and had to pee. She described the rest of the journey as “very uncomfortable,” with about 45 minutes left until the terminal and awareness of the bottle nearby.

She did not blame him, saying he was older and could not leave the car in moving traffic. The accounts are her TikTok story as reported by those outlets; Uber’s response is not cited in the pieces summarised here.

The episode sits alongside wider trade reporting on restroom access for for-hire drivers — a separate policy story in cities such as New York — but this item is the passenger’s viral account of one Miami trip.
