Manchester Airport drop-off and pick-up charges explained

Terminal drop-off starts at £5.50; picking up on the forecourt risks £100. PHVs get a £1.50 JetParks holding bay.

Manchester Airport’s paid forecourts matter for taxi and private hire drivers as much as for friends and family meeting flights.

Official airport tariffs put terminal drop-off at £5.50 for up to five minutes, £6.50 for up to 10 minutes and £25 for up to 30 minutes. Collecting from a drop-off zone can trigger a £100 charge. Barrierless ANPR means payment is due online by midnight the next day, or a £100 Parking Charge Notice can follow (£60 if paid within 14 days). Terminal 2 Express Pick Up is listed at £6.60 for up to 15 minutes, with a £60 overstay charge.

A free public drop-off with shuttle exists, but airport terms say it is not for commercial journeys. Private hire operators can use the JetParks 1 holding area for £1.50 up to 90 minutes (£50 per overstay day) and a concession scheme offering up to 40% off some forecourt and car park charges (£38.50 join/renew). DM News and the airport’s own PH pages set out the split between public and professional use.
