A 32-year-old man has been sentenced to one month in prison at Dundalk District Court for making off without payment of an €8 taxi fare.
The Dundalk Democrat reports Sgt Richie Browne said the remaining charge related to Clanbrassil Street on 13 April 2024. Judge Nicola Andrews noted the accused’s progress in prison, congratulated him on becoming a father and completing rehab, but warned: “I don’t like this business of people getting in taxis and not paying for them.”
