Barrow’s Barra Cabs is letting customers vote on Halloween-themed driver names in its booking app.
News & Star and sister title The Mail report three options: traditional spooky names such as Dracula, Frankenstein and the Grim Reaper; horror villains including Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Ghostface; or a darker serial-killer set.
Owner Brian White said the firm often renames drivers on the app for fun — Christmas characters, footballers, WWE wrestlers — and wants Halloween to be customer-led. “It’s only meant as a bit of fun and something for customers to have a laugh about when they see who the app says is coming to pick them up,” he said.
Barra Cabs also plans Halloween giveaways and some free journeys. Voting is via the firm’s social channels ahead of Halloween.
